The Wandel Family

Ridley Plains is home to Scott and Jane Wandel and their four children - Ollie, Stella, Maggie and Bridie. Together, they run 14,000 hectares of farmland in the Shire of Esperance.

Established in 2008, this small family operation has grown into a large scale enterprise across Grass Patch and Dalyup.

The Wandel family pride themselves on building their business through dedication to the land, smart farming practices, and strong family work ethic.

Dalyup

Ridley Plains has been farming in Dalyup since 2014, when the opportunity arose to lease Dalyup Park, Jane’s family farm. This marked a significant step in growth for the business, allowing us to expand the cropping program and diversify by introducing livestock.

The Dalyup property operates under a distinctly different farming model to Ridley. Its primary focus is livestock production, supported by a smaller cropping program designed to complement and strengthen the cattle and sheep enterprise.

The Farms

Ridley

The cropping farm! Well known for the large lentil rotation each year. All 12,500 hectares are put into crop, every Autumn.

Our years are spent caring for the soil, continually improving its condition and preserving it for the future. If we’re not in the paddock, we’re tinkering in the workshop. Usually bringing one of Scotty’s ideas to life!
